UX Origin Story

During my very first web developer/web designer job, I quickly discovered an interest in what would make our customers succeed in their objectives. I began finding material about the psychology, patterns, and processes that lead to a good experience. At the time there was a trending demand for user experience people with a stronger technical background and understanding of agile methodologies. I decided early in college that I was going to become a UX Designer. I bring a special blend of leadership, design, and technical skills to companies and teams.

Obstacles can also be opportunities. When life gives you crutches, go to Disneyland and skip the lines.

What I’m working on right now

My portfolio, mostly. Also my garage. I bought tons of office surplus and I’m making the back wall a giant workbench and shelving system. Filing cabinets will support the desk surface. This is gonna be pretty sweet.

I caught a cool moment. Watch my daughter’s eyes right before the first excited siren.

Livin' life

Just as important as keeping a roof over their heads is making each day a positive one. Growing in knowledge and joy is what it’s all about for us.

Doodling and Snapping

I started sketching again last year for fun. I use a digital SLR that is miraculously functioning far beyond its shutter life expectancy and use it whenever the opportunity arises.
